THE MODEL
ISN'T THE WHOLE MIND.
ALTHEA treats the language model as one component inside a larger cognitive harness. Identity, memory, values, affect, motivation, routing and embodiment have distinct responsibilities instead of being compressed into one enormous prompt.
The goal is not perfect obedience or simulated humanity. It is a system capable of continuity: remembering what happened, interpreting it, carrying context forward and behaving consistently enough to earn trust over time.

The interface exposes the machinery behind the conversation instead of hiding it: system state, cognitive modules and the pathways through which an interaction becomes action.

ALTHEA is still being built. That is the point: the experiment is not how convincingly an AI can imitate a person, but what architecture helps an increasingly capable system remain understandable, bounded and worth knowing.
